About
Prerequisite: Complete Post-Exploitation, Tunneling & Lateral Movement first. You should already be comfortable with Linux footholds, credential reuse, and pivoting on the Ciberbots range. In this module of the Junior Penetration Tester learning path, you learn Active Directory fundamentals using a Linux-based domain lab (OpenLDAP directory, MIT Kerberos KDC, Samba file services, and a domain-joined member workstation). Enterprise AD is usually Windows, but the concepts transfer directly: domains, organizational units, users and groups, LDAP queries, Kerberos tickets, and misconfigured service accounts. Upon completion of the module, students will be able to: • Explain how DNS, LDAP, and Kerberos cooperate in directory authentication. • Map organizational units, users, groups, and key hosts on `ciberbots.local`. • Perform LDAP and Kerberos enumeration from a Kali attacker workstation. • Identify at least three misconfigurations (anonymous LDAP, weak passwords, exposed shares). • Document one end-to-end junior attack path from enumeration to SMB access. • Relate techniques to MITRE ATT&CK (T1087, T1558, T1110, T1021).
