About
Prerequisite: Complete Active Directory Fundamentals & Attacks before this module. You should already be comfortable with Linux footholds, credential reuse, tunneling, and directory-style enumeration on the Ciberbots range. In this module of the Junior Penetration Tester learning path, you act as a professional security consultant on a black-box junior pentester capstone. There are no step-by-step exploit walkthroughs. You plan reconnaissance, chain vulnerabilities across DMZ and internal segments, escalate privileges, and produce executive and technical reporting. Syllabus boundary: Challenges reuse prior Junior path skills only (recon, network services, web apps, privilege escalation, post-exploitation/tunneling, and Linux AD fundamentals). Buffer overflows and other binary exploitation belong in the Senior Pentester path, not this capstone. Upon completion of the module, students will be able to: • Scope and document a multi-subnet penetration test without guided lab prompts. • Map external and internal attack surfaces across the ~34-container `ciberbots.local` lab stack. • Chain findings from web, network, and directory services into a coherent kill chain. • Retrieve the final Project Ledger objective (`{project_ledger_retrieved}`) and support findings with evidence. • Deliver an executive summary and technical report suitable for a client readout.
